In an original research article published in the July 2015 issue, the BMI for control subjects was given incorrectly in the Results section of the abstract and in 2 tables. In the same tables, P values were incorrect as well.
In the abstract, in line 3 under Results, the figure plus standard deviation for BMI in controls should have been 25.4±5.1 kg/m2, not 24.0±7.3 kg/m2.
In Table 1, “Characteristics of women with prior preeclampsia and control subjects,” the figure plus standard deviation for BMI in controls (column 3, row 3 under headings) should have been 25.4±5.1 kg/m2, not 24.0±7.3 kg/m2. The P value for the comparison of BMI between controls and women with a history of preeclampsia (column 4, row 3 under headings) should have been .4, not .1.
In Table 4, “Comparison of women with history of preeclampsia based on severity of preeclampsia,” the figure plus standard deviation for BMI in controls (column 4, row 4 under headings) should again have been 25.4±5.1 kg/m2, not 24.0±7.3 kg/m2. The P value for the comparison of BMI between control and women with a history of nonsevere preeclampsia (column 5, row 5 under headings) should have been .02, not .007, and for control vs severe (column 5, row 6), 1.0, not 0.4.
