    aThe main reasons for refusing participation were (1) too busy/not interested/too stressful to participate (47.9%), (2) husband's objection (11.1%), (3) had miscarried already and would rather not talk about it (7.3%), (4) unwilling to wear the meter (required for the original study) (6.2%), (5) other miscellaneous reasons (8.3%), and (6) no specific reasons given (19%); bParticipants were not interviewed because they were too far along in their pregnancy (>15 weeks gestation) when they were reached by the interviewers; cParticipants were never able to schedule an interview.
